About Cyndy Muscatel

Cyndy has been creating stories in her head since she was four years old. She started writing them down by the time she was ten. Editor of her high school newspaper in Seattle, The Garfield Messenger, she went on to teach English and Journalism.

She started writing humor articles for local newspapers and became a feature writer for several magazines. Her short stories have been published in many literary journals and children’s magazines. She has been teaching writing to adults for fifteen years. Her latest writing workshop was presented to seniors whose average age was 94. “Their stories span a century–incredible!,” she says.

Cyndy is now working on a memoir of the volatile years she taught in the inner city, and is developing Writing Work Out, a website for aspiring writers.
